Gain in Eternity

What is the cost of following Christ?
Your lustful passions must be iced,
Your income may be sliced,
Your pride and ambition surely will be diced.

But please don’t think that you need pity.
He’s prepared a better city.
When times get tough, don’t quit:
Each loss on earth is gain in eternity.

-Wills Osborn (8/23/20)

This poem is loosely based on concepts from Luke 9:23-27 and Hebrews 11:16, 39-40.

  1. At the end of this life, we will see clearly that it was totally worth it to follow Christ. Let’s live now like we believe that!
