Old hotels sometimes still have neon signs that light up to indicate whether there is vacancy or not. When a hotel is full, it’s full.
During His earthly career, Jesus trained up his disciples to go out and invite people to a future wedding feast. Because those for whom the reception was intended made up excuses and refused to come, Jesus sent his servants to bring in the poor, the maimed, and the lame and the blind.
And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’ (Luke 14:22 NKJV)
There is coming a day when heaven will be full. In the mean time, the servant still tells God “there is still room.”
The only requirement for entrance into the feast is faith in Jesus and a realization that we don’t deserve to be there.
Are you on the guest list? Won’t you bring a friend?
