In this lesson, we will see how the Lord wants his people to behave while they wait for his return. James gives three important commands to his readers: “be patient” (5:7), “do not complain about one another” (v. 9), and “do not swear” (v.12). He then helps his readers understand why they should obey these commands by reminding them of truths about God and giving examples of Old Testament saints.
