After Jesus’ temptation, John records a year-long ministry trip around Israel. On this trip, Jesus cleansed the temple Jerusalem and performed miracles in Capernaum. Returning to his hometown of Nazareth, Jesus entered the synagogue and stirred up a hornet’s nest.
The verdict of his countrymen: “Unacceptable.”
