Good News of Great Joy

As shepherds watched their flocks at night

in fields near Bethlehem,

God’s glory flashed across the sky

and angels said to them:

“All glory be to God Most High,

And peace to men on earth!

Don’t be afraid; salvation’s nigh,

Behold, the Savior’s birth!

For unto you is born today:

The source of hope and joy.

You’ll find him lying in the hay:

A little baby boy!”
