Season of Contentment (Poem)

Though all you see is gloom,
and rain falls like a sheet,
Fresh flowers soon will bloom,
and Summer brings new heat.

Though all you feel is heat,
at morning, noon, and night;
Yet, leaves will fill the street
‘fore clouds dust earth in white.

But do not think that peace
is endlessly delayed;
Through cyc’ling heat and freeze,
contentment’s for today.

-Wills Osborn (2/23/20)

(Though all you sense is sin,
and goodness seems to hide;
The Lord will come and win
with His bride at His side.)
