Namesake of Christianity (Poem)

Existing in the form of God,
Not grasping for equality.
He took upon the servant’s dress
and came to be a man.

The humble servant of the Lord,
Obedient humanity.
Subjected to the cruel cross,
His death: part of the plan.

Raised and exalted by his God:
Name-sake of Christianity
“You are Lord” all will confess;
Before him none can stand.

Jesus Christ is Lord.
Glory be to God!
