Words of Affirmation
If we were in love,
I would whisper in your ear
things I like about you, Dear:
Words to show I care.
Acts of Service
If we were in love,
I would help you with your chores:
I can organize the drawers
or straighten the chairs.
Gifts
If we were in love,
I would bring you a bouquet –
of flowers to brighten your day
and freshen the air.
Physical Touch
If we were in love,
I would take you by the hand;
Run my fingers through each strand
of your lovely hair.
Quality Time
If we were in love,
I would cancel all my plans.
Put away the pots and pans-
Let’s go out somewhere!
