God Isn’t Surprised (Poem)

Burdened and crushed by the weight of my sin-
My mirror reflects a soul worn thin.

Then I’m reminded that God knows it all.
He wasn’t surprised by Adam’s fall.

Nor is he confused to see me like this.
(Guilt’s nothing more than the Serpent’s hiss.)

He loved me so much he gave up his Son:
Seeking, saving me while still undone.

Nothing: no not my past, present, future
Can separate: grace like a suture.

Continue in sin? There’s no way I can!
Confess, repent, get back to the plan.
