Go Through

A crowd of Gentiles in Lystra, led by the priest of Zeus, tried worshipping Paul and Barnabas after Paul, by the power of God’s Spirit, healed a lame man. Paul turned their attention to the one true living God.

Moments later, unbelieving Jews got the crowd to turn against Paul, even to the point of throwing him out of the city and stoning him. Miraculous, the Lord allowed Paul to survive and continue his ministry.

As he revisited a few of the churches he had just planned, he gave them the message above. Essentially, don’t let hardship bring you down.

If you are in the midst of the battle today, don’t give up! The suffering can’t be compared with the glory to come (see Romans 8).
