Peter, a devout adherent to Jewish law, wouldn’t be caught dead in the home of a Gentile. That is until God told him not to call impure what he had made clean. So, overcoming cultural boundaries, Peter went to Cornelius’ house and witnessed the coming of the Holy Spirit to the Gentiles.
Is there anyone you refuse to associate with because of their cultural background, skin color, economic status? If you hear God telling you to go to them, go.
Cornelius was a God-fearing man who prayed regularly and have generously. He only lacked knowledge of Jesus Christ. Peter didn’t force down the door and make Cornelius believe, he just brought the message of the true Messiah to a searching man.
